Meet The Mattresses
AER Auto
The AER Auto is an advanced auto-weigh system that digitally monitors the patients weight distribution and adapts pressure in the cells accordingly. This intelligent air mattress also provides extra comfort with two therapy modes alternating and constant low pressure (CLP).
Key Features
-
Fully Automatic: Auto-weigh, auto adjust alternating pressure relieving mattress.
-
Intelligent smart sensor that continuously monitors patient's movements and adjusts pressure in cells accordingly.
-
Square cells for greater comfort, enhanced pressure relief and maximum pressure distribution.
-
Advanced cell on cell technology reduces the risk of the mattress bottoming out.
-
Air cells can be removed to achieve zero pressure on heels and for nursing in prone position.
-
Pump can operate on four different depth mattresses; overlay, mattress replacement and 7" and 8" full replacement.
Mattress Information
-
Multiple size depths to provide care and pressure relief for all category stages of pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.
-
Full replacement 7" (18cm). Max weight 180kg. Low - very high risk.
-
Full Replacement 8" (20cm). Max weight 200kg. Low – very high risk.
-
A total of twenty square air cells, three head end cells are static.
-
Cell on cell technology with the sub cell remaining inflated at all times to reduce the risk of the patient bottoming out.
-
Cell on cell technology provides reliability in the event of a power failure as the mattress has a sub supportive surface.
-
Heel protect zone; air cells can be removed without disturbing the patient to achieve zero pressure as required.
-
Prone zone; removal of air cells from the head area allows the patient to be nursed in a prone position.
-
Alternation therapy mode on a 1 in 2 cell cycle, three cells at the head end are static. Default cycle time between A & B cells is 10 minutes.
-
Time to inflate on initial use is approximately 20 minutes.
-

-
Transport mode feature, mattress will stay inflated for up to 12hrs.
-
AER Auto operates with the AER Synchro mattress replacement system 5" air cells with a 2" foam base (18cm). Low – high risk.
Pump Information
-
AER Auto automatically adjusts internal mattress pressure without manual intervention.
-
Alternating therapy is the default mode for the AER Auto pump, continuously over a period of time inflating and deflating air cells to relieve pressure away from vulnerable areas, whilst stimulating blood flow circulation across the entire body.
-
Constant Low Pressure (CLP) therapy can be used as an alternative to alternating mode. CLP button must be pressed to activate, equalising pressure throughout all the cells to provide greater immersion, optimum pressure distribution and constant low interface pressure across the mattress surface.
-
Comfort setting has been developed for comfort only. The AER Auto will adjust the internal pressures and set the comfort mode automatically. If the patient requires a softer or firmer mattress, the clinician can alter the comfort mode to the desired setting.
-
Adjustable cycle times allows clinicians to customise the alternation therapy delivered to the patient, which can support a step down process.
-
Max inflate, mattress to inflate quickly to its maximum support surface to aid nursing procedures such as repositioning and patient transfers. Max Inflate will be active for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes the pump will revert to its last therapy mode.
-
Seat boost mode adjusts the mattress pressures to provide continuous support when the bed is profiled in a seating position. Optimising support on the sacrum area where 75% of the patients’ weight will be insitu, reducing the risk of ‘bottoming out’.
-
Unlock feature, the panel will lock out after one minute if buttons are not being activated. Touch unlock button for 3 seconds and the pump will unlock, activating all therapy modes. This feature decreases the risk of people tampering with the pump’s settings.
-
Mute button, to mute alarms for low pressure or power shortage. If the problem is not resolved, the pump will re-alarm. The pump will continue to do this process until the issue is fixed.
-
Multiple audible and visual alarms warning of low pressure, alternation failure and power failure.

AER Reva
AER Reva is a lateral rotation bariatric support surface that gently and gradually turns patients to assist pulmonary blood flow and mucosal drainage and thereby prevent pressure related incidences. Available in three widths 90cm, 106cm and 120cm, the AER Reva is designed for patients with little or no mobility and at a very high risk of developing a pressure ulcer.
Clinicians can select angle and timing of turns suitable for each patient’s individual requirements. Side bolsters ensure patients safety whilst turning; and the 20 8” cells with 2’ foam base offer comfort and stability for patients up to 455kg in weight. This advanced mattress also incorporates on demand low air loss, which reduces moisture and humidity providing optimal micro climate control and split cells for equal inflation and deflation.
Key Features
-
On Demand LAL to reduce moisture and humidity providing optimal micro-climate control.
-
The angle, direction and timing of turns can be adjusted to suit patient's individual needs.
-
AER Reva is ideal for patients from 40kg through to 455kg.
-
Split Air Cells for equal inflation and deflation of the mattress.
-
Side Bolsters for safety and security of the patient whilst turning.
-
Pressure in the cells can be manually altered to provide a softer or firmer support surface..
Mattress Information
-
Available in three widths, 90cm, 106cm and 120cm.
-
A total of 20 cells 8 inches deep with an additional 2 inch foam base to increase comfort and reduce the risk of 'bottoming out'.
-
Cells are split vertically down the centre of the mattress to provide equal inflation and deflation and to turn the patient.
-
Air bolsters either side of the mattress to protect the patient whilst in turn mode.
-
The air bolsters can be deflated independently to reduce the mattress width.

Pump Information
-
For comfort adjust the air pressure in the mattress by pressing the ‘soft’ or ‘firm’ buttons.
-
To turn the patient to their right, left or to rotate both ways press the 'turn' button.
-
For angle of rotation press ‘select turn’. The options are 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full turn.
-
For rotation time press 'time’. The options are 10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes.
-
Press max inflate and the mattress will inflate quickly to its maximum support surface to aid nursing procedures such as repositioning and patient transfers.
-
Max Inflate will be active for 30 minutes, after 30 minutes the pump will revert to its last therapy mode. Whilst in Max Inflate a beep will sound every 3 minutes as a reminder the mode is active.
-
Press low air loss to provide on demand low air loss. A steady stream of air will flow into the mattress.
-
The audible/visible alarm turns on when the control unit detects low pressure, power failure or system failure. To mute the audible alarm, press the mute button. The visible alarm indicator will flash until the problem is solved.
-
If there is a bad connection of tubing or any air leakage the low pressure indicator will flash and the alarm will sound within 30 seconds. Once the issue is solved the pump will continue to operate in the previous set mode.
